Payment

Payment of RE'14 fee is accepted by credit card (VISA, MasterCard, or American Express). Payment must be made in advance of commencement of RE'14.

All amounts on this registration site are indicated in Swedish Krona (SEK). Visit this link for currency conversion.

In order to register for RE'14, complete all steps in the registration process. When registration is completed, a confirmation of the registration is sent to the participant by email. NB.: If confirmation has not been received within 24 hours after registration, please send an e-mail to RE'14 support.

Travel, accommodation and meal expenses (breakfast, dinner) are excluded from the registration fee, not counting reception and conference dinner.

VAT

Swedish VAT is included in the registration fees according to EU and Swedish Tax legislation. Organizations with a VAT number inquire and apply for VAT refund as follows:

  • Early Bird rates are valid until July 14, 2014.
  • Rates apply to participants who provide proof of affiliation to an educational institution (email address and web-site).
  • For all events, Members of IEEE qualify for regular member rates; only student members of IEEE qualify for student member rates.

General Terms and Conditions

The present General Terms and Conditions ("General Terms and Conditions") concerning the RE'14 Conference ("RE'14") apply to RE'14 organized by Blekinge Institute of Technology ("BTH") and govern the relationship between BTH and the participants of RE'14. By registering for RE'14, you as a participant ("Participant") confirm that you are aware of the General Terms and Conditions and that you have accepted them as being binding upon yourself.

Personal Data

BTH will process your personal data. The primary purpose of BTH's processing of your personal data is to fulfill its contractual obligations towards you as a Participant (including communication and preparation of materials). A list of Participants (including email) will be stored at BTH which may be used for informational and marketing purposes. BTH will respect and protect your personal information in accordance with applicable law. If a Participantdoes not want to be included in these lists/materials, please email RE'14 support.

Registration Deadlines and Limits

Registrations received until July 14th 2014 qualify for the reduced early-bird registration fees. Registrations received after that will be considered as late registrations. Participants may mix early-bird registrations and late registrations. The respective pricing applies.

Changes to RE'14 Program

BTH has carefully prepared RE'14 and does its best to run RE'14 as scheduled and published. However, BTH retains the right to make changes to the program (including, but not limited to, changes to the content of the program, the speakers and the time schedule for RE'14) if this is necessary. Such modifications do not entitle Participants to any refunds of registration fees. However, if changes result in cancellation of a tutorial, a workshop, or another conference event, the Participants will be refunded the registration fee actually paid, or a Participant will be offered to choose attendance in events of the same type as the cancelled one. If the number of Participants is insufficient, BTH reserves the right to cancel RE'14 and all related products and/or services there to without any liability arising on its part. However, the Participants will be refunded the registration fee actually paid.

Publication of Photos and Videos

Participants grant RE'14 full and royalty-free permission to publish photos or videos taken of them at RE'14. If a Participant feels uncomfortable by the way he/she is pictured in a photo or in a video published by RE'14, please send a deletion request for the concerned photos or videos by writing to RE'14 support.

Registration

Evidence for rebate qualification needs to be provided upon registration on-site.

If you cannot provide evidence for rebate qualification you will be charged the price difference to the regular fee, at registration onsite.

Participants are responsible to check the consistency and schedule for Workshops and Tutorials. Overlapping events are not refunded, except if they result from schedule changes.

Changing your Registration

Participants may request a change to their registration at any time until July 14th, 2014. Please email RE'14 support to request the change. A new confirmation email will be sent confirming such requested change. If the changes results in a refund, the refund will be made to the Participants within 30 days after conclusion of RE'14.

Cancelling your Registration

Participants may request a cancellation of their registration or of parts of it at any time until July 14th, 2014. Email RE'14 support to request the change. Accepted requests will be subject to a 300 SEK cancellation fee. Refunds will be made within 60 days after the conclusion of RE'14.

Cancellations will not be accepted after July 14th 2014. "No shows" are not refundable and are liable for the full registration fee. Instead of cancelling, the registration may be transferred by giving a colleague a written authorization.

If a visa is denied to a Participant for political or personal reason, then a full refund of fees will be made upon presentation of applicable documentation showing the refusal to grant a visa. Such claims have to be made no later than August 20th 2014. Refunds will be made within 60 days after the conclusion of RE'14. If a visa is denied due to other reasons such as not applying in time, no refund will be made. All visa issues and procedures are the responsibility of the Participant. Email RE'14 support to claim a refund if a visa is denied for political or personal reasons.

Liability and Insurance

The Participants shall indemnify BTH and the organizers of RE'14 at BTH or elsewhere (see this link) against all losses, actions, costs, claims, damages, demands, expenses and liabilities whatsoever which may incur in respect of personal injury to or the death of any person or in respect of any loss or destruction or damage to property (including IPRs or other equivalent belonging to Participants) which shall have occurred either during, or as a result of RE'14, travel, transfer or any activity associated with RE'14 or which shall otherwise be attributable to the acts or omissions of BTH. Neither is BTH liable for the up-to-dateness, correctness and completeness in respect to RE'14 documentation and content.

The Participant confirms with the registration to be adequately insured and all insurance issues are the sole responsibility of the Participant.

Force Majeure

BTH is released from its obligations under this agreement in the event of unexpected political or economic events or generally by force majeure or any other cause beyond control of BTH that renders the performance of RE'14 and/or these General Terms and Conditions impossible. In the event of such circumstance, RE'14 informs the Participants in writing that RE'14 may be delayed or cancelled and refunds the conference fee paid by Participant if no other solution can be found. In registering, the Participant accepts this provision.

Visa Information

Sweden is part of EU's Schengen Area, which provides open borders between the Schengen member states. If you are allowed to enter one of these states, you can visit the others as well. Please visit this website for more information about visa to enter Sweden.

Severability Clause

If any provision of the General Terms and Conditions is found to be invalid, the invalidity of that provision will not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of the General Terms and Conditions, which shall remain in full force and effect.

Disputes

These General Terms and Conditions are governed by Swedish law, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes, controversy or claim arising out of or in connection with this Agreement, or the breach, termination or invalidity thereof, shall at first instance be settled by the District Court of Blekinge.
